SURFCROP ® NE - 6459:

The SURFCROP® NE Series are nonionic surfactants synthesized through the polymerization of ethylene oxide with nonylphenols. This process yields a complex mixture of components characterized by linear ethoxy ether chains of varying lengths, contingent upon the specific reaction conditions. These surfactants comprise structural isomers and homologues, with ethoxylate chains ranging from 1 to 100 ethoxy ether sub-units. The distribution of chain lengths follows a normal distribution centered around the mean number of ethoxy ether units. Notably, the SURFCROP® NE Series do not ionize in aqueous solutions nor undergo hydrolysis in either acidic or alkaline environments.

applications:

SURFCROP ® NE Series of surfactants are very effective nonionic emulsifiers for agrochemical formulations. With varying moles, they are widely used as HLB variables in most Emulsifiable Concentrate (EC) formulations and show good emulsification properties. They impart excellent stability to the product over its shelf-life period and are commonly used in conjunction with SURFCROP ® CAT Series as the anionic component. Being specifically manufactured for agrochemicals formulations, they are widely compatible with other surfactants as well. Some of the SURFCROP ® NE Series Surfactants also find their use as an adjuvant for agrochemical formulations.

Normal safety precautions (e.g., gloves and safety goggles) should be employed when handling SURFCROP ® NE-6459. Contact with the eyes, nose or prolonged contact with skin should be avoided. Wash thoroughly after handling SURFCROP ® NE-6459. See SDS for more information. SURFCROP ® NE-6459 is available in drums, totes, and bulk quantities.
Non-Bulk Storage Recommendations: SURFCROP ® NE-6459 should be stored in closed containers and kept in a cool, dry place away from incompatible materials (see Section 10 of the SDS). If the material is frozen it should be heated gently and stirred to ensure it is homogeneous prior to use. It may experience sedimentation and gelling and must be mixed thoroughly before use. Stainless steel 316 is preferred for pumps, pipes and transfer lines; however, carbon steel is adequate.
A Safety Data Sheet (SDS) is available upon request.
